Judaisim for me is a heritage, a yerusha; enriched by Godly insights, morality and spirituality. It is a heritage from Israel, Spain, Poland, Czecholovakia, Germany and now Britain; a heritage carried on through wars, progroms and concentration camps; a heritage forged by the preaching of biblical Prophets, the interpretations of Talmudic sages, the spirituality of Chasidic rabbis, the physical and political courage of Zionists and the unshakable integrity of Reform Rabbis.

The rabbinate gives me the wonderful privilege and awesome responsibility of touching people's lives with the warmth and wisdom of Jewish learning and experience. As Rabbi of Hendon Reform I am able to reach out to those in my congregation, by passing on and sharing my knowledge by teaching, counselling and leading in prayer and contemplation.
