SHALOM AND WELCOME TO HENDON REFORM SYNAGOGUE

View of ArkHRS is a Reform community, affiliated to the Movement for Reform Judaism.

We draw our strength and direction from the Torah and from the rich Rabbinical interpretations of the Talmud and our continuing history thus keeping alive the living traditions of Judaism.

A warm and welcoming community, we encourage the equal participation of men and women in our services where both Hebrew and English are used.

We promote learning with regular classes for children on a Sunday morning, the Rabbi's Shabbat morning class for Bar and Bat Mitzvah children, regular Torah Breakfasts plus interesting Adult Education programmes.

HRS is situated in the centre of Hendon although our members come from a wide area of North West London and surrounding districts including Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

We have many social activities that take place during the week and events for all ages and interests throught the year. Please take a look at our diary for current and future events.

FAMILY SERVICE FOR ROSH HASHANAH
rosh_hashannash2.gif

HRS will be holding a Family Service this year on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur mornings. As well as the regular service and children's services, there will be family services in the Kingsley-Fisher Hall at 10.00 am, suitable for all but the youngest children, along with their parents, grandparents, and any others interested in attending a family service.  A special prayer booklet has been prepared and there will be a choir with tunes and songs chosen that are suitable for the family atmosphere.

As usual there will be a seperate service for younger children.  Children age up to 8 with their parents on the first floor. The children's service will be run by Laura Katz.
